AUGUST 18, 2019

Our 4th Annual Gender Equality Awards is just around the corner on October 15th at Lagunitas Brewing Co!

This year the theme is "CITY PLANNING AROUND THE WORLD", and we need your help to identify leaders in this field whose work should be recognized!

Include the name of the person you are nominating and 250-word description of their efforts in championing improved city planning for increased safety to our Director of Events, Suvai Gunasekaran, at events@chicago.unwomen-usnc.org by Friday, August 23, 2019.

Now Live: Our Safe Cities Toolkit

JULY 18, 2019

The Chicago Chapter's primary point of focus for 2019 is Safe Cities and Safe Public Spaces, a UN Women USA for UN Women Global Flagship Initiative that lays the groundwork for a sustainable approach to making cities safe and helps to build each programme to scale. To achieve results and sustainability, it engages women, men and boys working at the grass-roots level. We're encouraging our membership to take action through our specially curated toolkit of literature, information and more! We encourage you to explore and use these materials in support of your own organizational efforts---stay tuned for events and activities surrounding the elevation of this essential campaign!
